Haiku: Caught in the Frenzied Dance of Summer Rain

Summer rain shower

How you caught me by surprise

So full of passion

***

Raindrop cannonballs

Pelt the gazebo above

Staccato drumbeats

***

This frenzied rhythm

Pouring out its very soul

Holding nothing back

***

“Come join me!” it cries

“Living wild and carefree!”

Each drop beckons me

***

As I get ready

The answer “Yes!” on my lips

The rain shower stops

***

Its soul has been spent

Only occasional drips

Slip from the tree’s leaves

***

Peace replaced passion

Sunlight blesses the wet world

With dew drop diamonds

***

Its quietness speaks

Drawing me into a peace

I cannot resist

You are so brave. That’s what encourages me most about you…you feel it, you do it. Posting your art is “putting yourself out there”. Being vulnerable. It encourages all of us, it connects all of us, and inspires me!
